Coke and other soft drinks contain caffeine. Where does this caffeine come from? I know that the caffeine in coffee comes from coffee beans. But where does it come from when its found in Coke, Pepsi, and other soft drinks?

Where does the caffeine in soda come from? I know it used to come from kola nuts, but now most sodas use artificial flavorings instead. Is the caffeine lab created or extracted from a plant? (I bought this energy drink with 'natural caffeine' and it made me wonder)

griffin_1981 replied: "soda does not naturally have caffeine. it is added in. where it comes from depends on the company. natural caffeine doesn't necessarily make it good for you. if it is in large quantities or a strong form it could make your heart beat irregularly."

Why does tea have caffeine? I thought tea came from the dried leaves of certain plants... so where does the caffeine come from?

Where does the B12 come from in this juice? Can you look at the ingredients and tell me? All the ingredients are plant juices but it says it has 30% of your RDA of B12? Additionally - isn't this juice amazingly nutritious? I love, love, love this stuff and it really picks up your energy to have a glass in the middle of the day - even better than coffee even though it has no caffeine! What is the miracle inside this bottle? PS: I'm not vegan I just don't understand this juice lol. PPS: Is it ok to have that much manganese and zinc in one drink? Why do people answer just to say I don't know??? That is SO annoying!

I think some fruits and veggies also have a little b-12 too, but I can't think of which ones off the top of my head. I love this juice too! For a sweet indulgence instead of going to Starbucks, I get one of the perfectly protein drinks! It satisfies my sweet and coffee craving, and I get a bunch of protein!"
